ATLANTA, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Scott Blair kicked two field goals in the final 5:40 Thursday and No. 13 Georgia Tech, after letting a 24-0 lead disappear, rallied to defeat Clemson 30-27.

Blair had three field goals overall and also threw a touchdown pass in the first period as part of a quick start for the Yellow Jackets in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams.

Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker then threw three touchdown passes and the Tigers scored 27 straight points to move in front.

Blair tied it with a 34-yard field goal with 5:40 to go and Georgia Tech took over again after a Clemson punt with 2:50 remaining. The Yellow Jackets drove 48 yards in six plays to set up Blair's 36-yarder for the win with 57 seconds left.

Georgia Tech scored in the first quarter on an 82-yard run by Anthony Allen, an 85-yard punt return by Jerrard Tarrant and a 34-yard throw from Blair to Demaryius Thomas on a fake field goal.

Blair's scoring pass came one play after Clemson had an apparent interception in the end zone negated because replays showed the defensive back was unable to get a foot inbounds after making the catch.

Georgia Tech is unbeaten in its two games this season. Clemson fell to 1-1.
