HOUSTON, July 28 (UPI) -- Carlos Lee belted a pair homers and Hunter Pence drove in two runs Wednesday in the Houston Astros' 8-1 rout of the Chicago Cubs.
Lee's two-run blast in the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie and he tacked on another two-run long ball in the next frame, allowing the Astros to take the rubber match of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
Pence notched RBI hits in the sixth and eighth innings to back a strong start from Bud Norris (3-7), who won for the first time since May 13. Norris held the Cubs to one unearned run in six innings, walking three and striking out seven.
Wilton Lopez, Brandon Lyon and Fernando Abad each tossed a scoreless inning of relief for Houston.
Chicago starter Randy Wells (5-8) yielded three runs on five hits and walked five in 5 2/3 innings.
